Bio: Jeannette Casuga Trevias Born and raised in the Philippines, Jeannette Casuga Trevias began her piano studies at the age of 4 and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in piano from the University of Santo Tomas. At 14, she studied at the Yamaha School of Music and at 16 won 1st place in the Asian Yamaha Electone Competition in Singapore. She subsequently represented Asia at the International Yamaha Festival, where she received the Kawakami Award for Most Promising Talent. Jeannette has worked as a musical director for prominent Filipino artists including Lea Salonga, Gary Valenciano, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Kuh Ledesma, Music & Magic, and Martin Nievera. After relocating to Honolulu in 1993, she collaborated with local musicians such as Fiji, the Local Divas, Loyal Gardner, Melveen Leed, Carol Kai, and Nohelani Cypriano. She also performed with international trumpeter Tiger Okoshi and Nestor Torre at the International Jazz Festival in 2000. Jeannette served as the Musical Director for Hawaii’s Society of Seven LV for four years and has headlined at the Blue Note four times. Currently, she performs solo at Marriott Beach Club’s Longboards on Sundays, Star of Honolulu Dinner Cruises, and Waikīkī Yacht Club on the second Friday of each month, showcasing a diverse repertoire including jazz standards, pop rock, Latin, R&B, and Hawaiian music.
